KOKO funds the fun bus!

fun bus.jpg

Our fundraising from the Koko Golf Day has helped fund White Lodge’s Fun Bus, and it is already transforming what is possible for the disabled children and young people who attend our Play and Youth Clubs.

For children aged 5 to 18 with disabilities and neurodiversities, the world is not always accessible. Experiences that should be part of every childhood, like days out, adventures with friends, and exploring new places, often come with real barriers. Barriers around accessibility. Barriers around safety. Barriers around having the specialist support needed to take part.

Too often, this means disabled children miss out – but the Fun Bus is changing that.

Because of your fundraising, White Lodge can proudly take our Play and Youth Club children out into the community, ensuring they have the same opportunities as every other child, regardless of their abilities.

The Fun Bus has already enabled our children to climb through the treetops at Alice Holt, explore sensory play at Thames Valley Adventure Park, experience wildlife at Woburn Safari Park, take part in outdoor adventure at High Ashurst, and share magical moments together at Windsor Illuminate.

These trips are far more than days out. They are breaking down barriers and bringing disability inclusion to life, enabling children to build confidence, independence, and friendships while accessing opportunities that were previously out of reach. Because of this support, our children are exploring, growing, and experiencing the same opportunities as every other child.

This fundraising has enabled White Lodge to take our Play and Youth Club children beyond our walls and into the world, ensuring disability is never a barrier to adventure, friendship, and opportunity.

Thank you for making this happen!

KOKO 8 CAMPAIGN

KOKO are again supporting White Lodge this year - and they have asked us to get the adults get to fun!!

All our money will go to increased community access for our young adults - people like Sophia who have grown up and need to get out and about more.

COMMUNITY GARDEN THANK YOU

One of KOKO's first campaigns was to fund the development of a community garden at a local primary school.  We were delighted to be included in its 5th birthday celebrations recently. It gets used all the time and has made a huge difference to the community - thank you, KOKOites for playing a part in making this happen.

When you win a major, we all need to know about it in perpetuity, right?  Well, now we can with our own honours board!! Many congrats to all those who already have their achievements recorded.

Many thanks to Phil Boast for sourcing the board and to Signet Signs for putting together the artwork.

HONOURS BOARD

THE GOLDEN PUTTER!

Just when you thought we had enough, we thought we'd add another KOKO decorated prize.  Our good friends at Devanet do more than belts - they can source a vintage putter, emboss KOKO on it, mount it and present the latest prize - the golden putt!

WENTWORTH ONCE MORE!

A great KOKO friend has been extremely generous and again pledged a Wentworth experience to our raffle - and, yes, it includes a round on the West Course which is increasingly difficult to access.  Thank you to The Great Jiggler!

Going sustainable

Our merch friends at EventCaddie are developing a range of sustainable merchandise - we're joining in this year with some bamboo pitchmark repairers, bag tags and paper bags.
